Brent Singers with orchestra and soloists perform Mozart's Requiem

Brent Singers with orchestra and soloists performed a selection of Mozart pieces at Buckfast Abbey, including the spectacular Requiem to a sold out audience. The Abbey was buzzing with excitement as our Musical Director introduced soloists Bel Joshi-Hartley, Alice Risdon, Matthew Skaria and Charles Dean before the choir performed Laudate Dominum and Ave Verum Corpus. The string section of the orchestra accompanied by Robert Pecksmith on the organ then performed Epistle Sonata in D before a momentous rendition of Requiem. The audience showed their appreciation at the end of the performance with an extended round of applause. One of our audience members commented after the concert "This was the best evening. You all blew me away. Very emotional listening to Mozart's Requiem and absolutely spectacular."

Brent Singers returns to the Abbey on Saturday 28th June 2025 for Great British Anthems, where we will join forces with Torbay Singers for a programme including works by Parry, Elgar and Wesley.
